Year after year, typhoons have been bringing strong winds and rain to the Philippines, especially in the last few months of the year. In the month of November 2020 alone, it has been extra devastating as 4 typhoons – 2 of which are supertyphoons (“Rolly” and “Ulysses”) and among the strongest ones – made landfalls across the country for consecutive weeks and left countless homes and lands destroyed and flooded. Cebu did not suffer much, but many places in the northern and eastern parts of the Philippines were declared “in a state of calamity.”
In the midst of a global economic and health crisis, Filipinos who are also suffering still find ways to help fellow Filipinos in need. We personally thank the employees of Virginia Food, Inc. for gathering in-kind donations for the typhoon survivors and reaching out to us to help channel these relief items to people who can bring them to where they’re most needed. We also send our deepest gratitude to our friends from Asmara Urban Resort for offering to transport these donations all the way to Luzon.
Indeed, together we can make a difference.
